This is the Audi Urban Concept Spyder - the roofless version of Audi's radical city car, due to bow in at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. Remarkably, considering 2012 was the 60th anniversary of the Queen coming to the throne and the celebratory events we had, we’ve heard very little about the 60th anniversary of the coronation. In fact, we’ve already passed the diamond anniversary of the Queen’s coronation (on 2nd June) without any huge fanfare but, for some reason, we have a ‘Coronation Festival’ from 11-17th July to celebrate the ‘Best of British’. But it seems Jaguar Land Rover couldn’t wait for the event to start properly, so they’ve jumped the gun and gone parading a selection of Jaguars and Land Rovers with Royal connections round London this weekend.
The SEAT Leon Cupra 280 Extreme Simulator
In January the SEAT Leon Cupra and Cupra 280 were revealed as SEAT’s take on the VW Golf GTI, but with things taken to another level. That meant the SC getting 261bhp and the 5-door Cupra 280 a very appealing 276bhp, enough to get the 280 to 62mph (when fitted with the DSG ‘box) in 5.7 seconds – appealingly lively. Not surprisingly, there were plenty of SEAT fans wanting to get up close and personal with the Leon Cupra 280, so SEAT invited a lucky pair to get suitably suited and led them in to an extreme simulator for the virtual drive of their life.
